Another service we offer is engraving, available in lots of different media from metals like brass, stainless steel, plastics like Trufferlite and acrylic and wood products like MDF and Oak to name a few.
One of the most popular in modern times is the edge light systems, we carve the acrylics and edge light using florescent tubes or LEDs which gives an impressive look.
How is Engraving done?
All our engraving is carried out on specialist CNC engraving machines but for high detailed signs we will acid etch the metals to get a perfect result.
Where are these types of signs used?
Engraved signs are every where, from entrance doors of offices to commemorative plaques, the main reason for engraved signs is where they are exposed to the weather and the public, once engraved or acid etched the plaques can’t be easily vandalised.
We also make toughened glass signs which look very modern and professional as you can see from the pictures of some golf honour boards we have made for lots of gold clubs.
Are engraved systems expensive?
They vary depending what your requirements are, size will be the key to cost, when you compare them to flat signs they are one of the more expensive systems but there is no substitute for quality and a sign that looks professional while giving you high impact and long life you need to maintain the image you business requires or commemoration requires.
What about the wooden bases?
We at tradesigns are a complete supply service, we offer a range of bases from Hard woods like Oak and mahogany to MDF with Veneered finishes, we will also supply the fixings and full assemble the plaques with the bases when requested.
